At Life Roads Inc., we believe that dignity and self-worth are essential for every child’s success—not just in the classroom, but in life. That’s why we were honored to participate in Threads of Kindness (TOK) this school year, a program led by the Cobb County School Social Work Department to provide clothing for students facing financial hardship.
đź’› Clothing with Compassion
Threads of Kindness ensures that students in need receive three school-appropriate outfits—one to wear, one in the wash, and one in the closet. This simple but powerful model helps children show up to school with confidence, dignity, and a greater sense of belonging.
This year, the program served 124 students—and we were proud to be part of that effort.
đź“ť A Note That Touched Our Hearts
After the event in May 2025, we received a moving thank-you note from Lara Fain, on behalf of the CCSD school social workers, students, and families:
“Our partners have provided not only clothing, but a sense of dignity + belonging for 124 students this school year. Each act of kindness has strengthened the fabric of our community here in Cobb… THANK YOU for being an essential part of Threads of Kindness.”
Reading this note reminded us that it’s not just about clothes—it’s about restoring confidence and removing barriers to learning.
đź‘Ł A Step Toward a Stronger Community
With the dissolution of the state-run Project Pants program, Threads of Kindness has stepped in to continue this vital work. But they can’t do it alone—and neither can we. Community partners are essential to identifying and responding to students’ needs throughout the year.
We’re proud to answer that call—and we look forward to doing even more next school year.
