Health Advisory: A message about COVID-19

School Year Filled With Hope, Support, Sensory Baskets and Serenity Spaces

As the new school year begins at Argyle Elementary School, Life Roads is proud to deepen our commitment to helping at-risk children and their families across Georgia. Back-to-school season should be a time of excitement—not stress—and thanks to generous community support, we’ve been able to make a meaningful impact once again.

This year, our team prepared and delivered sensory baskets for all 21 classrooms along with creating a peaceful Serenity Room for teachers. These additions are designed to help students manage emotions, reduce anxiety, and stay focused—while giving teachers a calming retreat to recharge throughout the day.

Why Sensory Baskets and Serenity Spaces Matter

This year, we expanded our support by adding:

🌟 Sensory Baskets for 21 Classrooms

These baskets include tools like fidget items, stress balls, calm-down cards, and tactile learning aids. They are designed to help students self-regulate, focus during lessons, and express emotions in healthy ways.

🌟 A Serenity Room for Teachers

Teacher burnout is real—and their well-being significantly influences student well-being.
Our Serenity Room includes:

  • Soft lighting
  • Comfortable seating
  • Calming sensory tools
  • Mindfulness resources

It’s a safe, restorative space where educators can breathe, reset, and return to the classroom renewed.

Our Mission: Changing the World With Kindness

At Life Roads, we believe that small acts of kindness create big waves of change. Our founders built this organization with a shared vision: to uplift children in crisis, support their families, and strengthen the communities they call home.

Our long-term goals include:

  • A dedicated Life Roads community facility
  • After-school educational mentoring
  • Life-skills training for youth
  • Career development programs
  • Financial literacy education for parents and teens
  • Transportation assistance
  • Seasonal day camps and enrichment activities

Every step we take brings us closer to creating a place where families can grow, learn, and thrive—together.

How You Can Support Life Roads

As a Georgia-based nonprofit, we rely on compassionate donors and volunteers to expand our reach. You can support our mission by:

  • Donating clothing, school supplies, or toiletries
  • Sponsoring a bicycle or safety kit
  • Becoming a mentoring volunteer
  • Supporting our future facility development fund
  • Sharing our mission with friends, family, and local businesses

Together, we can change the world—one child, one act of kindness at a time.

Supporting Students Through Essential Resources

Life Roads’ partnership with the Cobb County School District and specifically Argyle Elementary allows us to meet students where they are—providing assistance that directly affects their success in the classroom. Our programs include:

Clothing Assistance

Providing new clothing, shoes, and coats so students can feel confident and comfortable.

School Supplies & Toiletries

Ensuring no child falls behind simply because they lack access to basic necessities.

Safe Transportation Support

Offering Uber cards to help families facing transportation challenges get their children to school safely.

Weekly Mentoring & Academic Enrichment

Through the ASP reading and math enrichment program, Life Roads volunteers mentor students weekly. These small-group sessions help boost academic confidence and performance—and create meaningful, lasting relationships.

Annual Bicycle Program

Our bicycle giveaway encourages academic excellence and good character. Paired with our bike safety rodeo, students learn lifelong safety skills while celebrating their achievements.
